What is the basic premise of MagicTan?
The MagicTan machine allows just about any person to step into a private booth, be gently sprayed with
a fine mist, and come out with a beautiful golden brown tan. The tan is even throughout the body and
lasts about a week. The process is completely safe, UV free, and takes only about a minute.

How is the tanning solution applied to the skin?
The MagicTan booth is a full-body, DHA tanning process that utilizes a new misting technology. This is a
revolutionary process that allows the booth to apply a uniform amount of tanning solution to all parts of
the body. When the special MagicTan solution passes through the booth’s nozzles, the particles of
solution are polarized making it cover all surfaces of the skin evenly.   When the tanning process is
finished, the user simply steps out of the booth, towels-off any excess mist, gets dressed, and exits.
The result is a uniform, natural-looking tan in less than five minutes.

Is the process safe for consumers?
Yes. Our solution has been thoroughly tested by us -- as well as independent laboratories. Further,
hundreds of thousands of UV Free sessions have been conducted throughout the world with no serious
problems. DHA (the main active ingredient in our solution) is approved by the FDA for topical use and
OSHA lists DHA at “0” as a dangerous chemical. All of the components in our tanning solution are
approved for topical use by the FDA and have been used in food and/or cosmetics for several decades. If
an individual has ever had any adverse effects utilizing self-tanning products or moisturizers, they might
experience similar effects with our tanning solution.

What about allergic reactions to chemicals used in the tanning solution?
There have been one or two reported allergic reactions that were cured within minutes by taking an
antihistamine. Even those who experienced these reactions have reported no ongoing negative effects
from their MagicTan experience.

Does it turn the skin orange?
No! DHA technology has vastly improved from its early days. Almost every sunless tanning product on
the market today gives far superior results to its predecessors. Daily customer feedback tells us that
MagicTan innovations are quickly moving us to the leading edge of our industry.   Our superior misting
technology, combined with MagicTan tanning solution, provides a golden brown, natural looking tan
unparalleled in the UV free tanning industry.

What should people wear during and after the misting session?
We suggest keeping the eyes closed during the misting process. However many may opt to wear
disposable “winkies”, provided free by the salon to shield their eyes from the mist. We also recommend
that MagicTanners wear an available disposable nasal filter if they feel they cannot hold their breath for
the full tanning session. Many people tan in the nude to avoid tan lines. They feel comfortable doing this
since the MagicTan booth is usually set up in a small, private room. The instant bronzer in our solution
may stain a bathing suit, underwear, or anything else worn inside the booth.   If desired, salons provide
throwaway undergarments. Once the MagicTanner steps out of the booth they will be slightly damp
from the mist. Assuming they thoroughly towel off, they will not stain their street clothes. We suggest
they leave the salon in loose fitting clothing as an added precaution.

Does the user need to cover their hair during use?
No. Many consumers wear disposable shower caps, which are provided by the salon, to keep the
solution from getting in their hair. Other consumers tan without covering their hair. The solution will not
penetrate the hair follicles.

How damp is the user when getting out of the booth?
The mist applied in the MagicTan tanning booth is very fine, much like the mist floating in the air on a
foggy day. By the time the user steps out of the booth, most of the mist will have dried, but there may
still be a few moist areas. They may see small droplets clinging to the body hair on arms or legs. This
remaining moisture can be removed quite easily by toweling dry. There is no worry about wiping off the
solution with the towel. Toweling does not streak the tan, and any solution that comes off on the towel
was excess and will not affect the tan. MagicTanners are instructed to rub the solution into the skin
rather than blot it off to achieve even results.

How soon after the tanning session can the user shower or work out?
We recommend that the user wait at least six hours after tanning to give the DHA enough time to fully
set. If they shower earlier, they may diminish the intensity of the tan. When they do shower the initial tan
created by the water-soluble bronzer will wash off, but the DHA will remain and create a long-term tan.
We also recommend they not pursue any strenuous physical activity for six hours after their MagicTan
tanning session. This is because perspiration may cause some of the bronzer to transfer to their
clothing.

How many sessions does a MagicTanner need to achieve the color they want?
A person will have an excellent tan after one session but it may take an additional session or two to
achieve their desired color. Just like anything else, MagicTanners learn how to improve their results
with experience. Before a tanning session they learn how and where to apply extra barrier cream or
aerosol on their feet, hands, elbows and knees. A highly detailed, instructional video is provided to
every salon to help new MagicTanners learn the ropes. Once they reach their desired color they should
be able to maintain it by tanning every four to five days.

Will it make the user feel sticky?
No. Once the user leaves the MagicTan tanning booth and dries off, their skin will feel soft and pliable
because of the moisturizing components. It will not feel sticky.

Does the mist leave an unpleasant odor on the user?
MagicTan is noted for the best quality solution in the industry. One of the reasons for that is the smell –
or lack thereof. MagicTanners often comment on how our solution has a much more neutral scent than
competing products.

What about people with fair skin that have never been able to tan?
The MagicTan tanning booth was designed specifically for individuals who cannot or do not want to tan
conventionally.

Does this system cause freckles in people who usually freckle when tanning?
No. There is nothing in the MagicTan tanning solution that will cause more freckles to break out. In fact,
in most cases, freckles and blemishes will become less pronounced because the lighter skin areas will
darken and reduce the color differentiation between the blemishes and the rest of the skin.

Will the user get a better tan if they tan twice in the same day?
Yes, tanning twice in the same day will create a darker tan, but we do not recommend back-to-back
sessions. Tanning back to back does not give the DHA a chance to set between tans, and increases the
chance that your tan may have an orange glow. Waiting 12 to 24 hours between tans will eliminate this
potential problem.

Can MagicTan users also use the sun and UV-tanning beds?
Yes. There is nothing in the MagicTan tanning solution that would prevent users from tanning in tanning
beds or the sun. In fact, a number of customers have found that tanning with UV rays and the MagicTan
tanning solution actually gives them a better overall tan. Remember, however, that the MagicTan tanning
process does not give protection from UV rays. In addition, it may be a good idea to wait a few minutes
before going directly into the MagicTan machine from a regular UV tanning machine.

Who should not use the MagicTan tanning booth?
If there is a history of asthma or other respiratory illnesses, we do not recommend tanning in the
MagicTan tanning booth until consulting with a physician.
